It Fits Great And It Will Last, March 12, 2011 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Speedo Mens Mist Spliced Xtra Life Lycra Jammer Swimsuit (Apparel) I have had the same mini-speedo for over ten years and it still looks like new. However, now that I'm a bit older, I didn't feel comfortable in public wearing this tiny speedo (I'm over 50). This new longer style fits perfectly. Make sure you buy a size that is two (2) times larger than your regular pants size. My pant size is 34, so I bought a 36 speedo. I have no idea why they gauge speedos this way. The fit is nice and snug. When swimming I use regular longer loose trunks, but for SCUBA diving, I needed a tighter, but flexible fit for under my wetsuit. The reason my speedo had lasted so long is that it is (evidently) made from a trademarked xtra life LYCRA. Who knew? But at my age, I feel comfortable wearing it.

I wear a 34 or 36 size pants, depending on the day and the brand of pants. I bought a size 36 suit, and it is nice and snug, but not too tight. And the snugness relaxes after a bit of use. I swim 2-4 times a week in a chlorinated pool, and I agree with other reviewers in wishing that the suit lasted longer. But I've never owned a suit that was impervious to chlorine, and all things considered, this suit is a keeper. My first one lasted about seven months before the fabric near the seams started wearing out and becoming transparent.

Fit, durability, and style. The xtra life lycra really does hold up. No fadding so far. I've had this new pair for about 2 months and i swim 4 times a week. Now that i've worn mine for a while, they seem to conform to my body. Great job Speedo!
