Not so durable, December 28, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: TYR Sport Boys' Alliance Durafast Splice Jammer Swim Suit (Sports) Fit of this suit is fine and the polyester is durable, but there is elastic in the wasteband that deteriorated (got gummy and hard) in less than 6 months. The result was a suit I could not tie. I took it to a seamstress who cut it out and added a new drawstring so I could continue to use the suit. I have had much better luck with Speedo and Finis and would not buy a Tyr swimsuit again. I swim 4 times per week in a chlorinated pool, only rinsed the suit with water and left it to air dry (as instructed).

Nice fit, and it feels like it's gonna last for some time. I swim indoors and in the Long Island Sound, so it gets a lot of wear and tear.
